FLORIDA FOREIGN LANGUAGE ASSOCIATION
Presenter: Karen Carmean
Bio: Karen Carmean is from from Denver, Colorado. Karen is part of the LILL (Leadership in Language Learning) collaborative and is on the board of Colorado Congress of Foreign Language teachers. She teaches at Sabin World School in Denver Public Schools, an IB elementary school.
At Sabin she is the specials teacher for World Languages teaching Spanish as a second language and English as a second language using Comprehensible Input strategies. She also instructs Heritage classes that focus on reading and writing in Spanish to her native speakers.
